Pocket depth, GSM, and the size before it is washed
Calara Avenue is a small online bedding shop in Jaipur selling sheet sets, throws and comforters. We publish pocket depth, fabric weight and the pre-wash measurement, because those three numbers decide whether a set fits the bed you actually own.

The sheet that would not stay on
A deep-pocket set bought for a 10-inch mattress kept pinging off the corners. The mattress was 10 inches; the topper on it was another three. Nothing in the listing had mentioned pocket depth, only the word deep, which is a mood rather than a measurement.
So we started publishing the numbers that decide the fit: pocket depth in inches, GSM for weight, weave for how it behaves against skin, and the pre-wash size along with the expected shrinkage. We would rather lose the sale to a customer who measures than take a return from one who did not.

Printed on every fitted sheet listing, alongside the flat-sheet and pillowcase dimensions. Measure the mattress with its topper on before ordering.
GSM next to the weave
Fabric weight is not quality. We give GSM and weave together so a heavy microfibre and a light bamboo can be compared honestly rather than by adjective.
Shrinkage stated up front
Cotton-rich sets lose two to three per cent on the first hot wash. The size chart shows the pre-wash measurement and says so, instead of leaving it as a surprise.
What we will not claim
We will not call a polyester blend cotton, we will not quote a thread count that counts plies twice, and we will not photograph a set so styled that the colour on screen has nothing to do with the fabric in the bag. Bedding is judged on the first night and washed within the week, so an overstated claim has a very short life.
